Health Care Administration

Juan D. Reyes, ARM, LHCRM, CHSP, BIE, MBA/HA has been affiliated with the Health Care and Insurance  Industries in a variety of positions in Risk Management, Health Care Administration and Insurance for over 20 years.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial  Engineering (BIE) from Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) ; he has an MBA with a Concentration in Health Care Administration (MBA/HA) from the University of Miami.  He began his Risk Management career as a Safety Engineer .

Mr. Reyes  was the Director of the Joint Risk Management  Program for Jackson Health System and The University of  Miami School of Medicine and its Chief Compliance Officer for over 10 years.

He has extensive experience  in safety, managed care, accreditation, healthcare  operations Claims/Litigation Management , Health Care Compliance, healthcare operations and Human Resources Management.  He has works in the not for profit, profit and public health care sectors. He has worked as a consultant for healthcare concerns. Mr. Reyes taught at Florida International University in its Certification Program for Health Care Risk Management and in a variety of educational institutions in the areas of healthcare administration and insurance.

He  is currently the Assistant Vice President and Corporate Risk Manager/HIPAA Privacy Officer for Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI),  a  multi site South Florida based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), non-for profit organization .

Mr. Reyes is a State of Florida Licensed Risk Manager  as well as holding  a  designation as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from the Insurance Institute of America. He is Certified as a CHSP (Certified Health Safety Professional ) . He is a State of Florida Licensed Property/Casualty Insurance Adjuster.  He  is a Certified Examiner for the  State of Florida Governor Sterling Award, which promotes excellence in business.
